Description: Transient genes - genes encoding transcripts levels that first increase and later decrease during embryogenesis, and thus do not seem to be maternally deposited (Source: Hooper et al 2007 - PubMed: 17224916). Note: the following genes have been split since creation of this list and so may need further verification: FBgn0003600 -> CG43664 and CG43665; FBgn0053520 -> CG43662 and CG43663. Note: Nov 2018: FBgn0015541 has been split into CG14509 ,FBgn0039647 and CG46339, FBgn0285963. Both genes have been added to the list.
