Description: A list of putative TFs, based on the presence of a putative DNA-binding domain (including C2H2 zinc fingers) and/or experimental evidence. Since creation of this list the following genes were split as follows and so may need further verification: FBgn0053936 -> CG43674 and CG43675; FBgn0053520 -> CG43662 and CG43663; FBgn0051782 -> CR43670, CR43671 and CR43669; FBgn0051169 -> CG43342 and CG43343; FBgn0051392 -> CG42726 and CG42727. This data comes from www.flyTF.org, the drosophila transcription factor database version 2. 7th september 2015: A further gene has been split: FBgn0262707 has split into FBgn0266441 and FBgn0266452 - only FBgn0266441 was added to the list as this appears to be a transcription factor. Release 44: FBgn0050420 has been split into two genes: FBgn0265193 (Atf-2) and FBgn0265182. Only FBgn0265193 (Atf-2) was added to the list as this has known transcription factor activity.
